The Microsoft & Yahoo Alliance (MicroHoo)

Judging by the feedback we have had with our spies abroad, the SES in San Francisco had one highlight and one highlight only, the Microsoft and Yahoo alliance - the giant that is now affectionately known as MicroHoo by people in the blogosphere.

Both Tamara Colagrossi (Group Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft) and Michael McMeekin (Senior Strategist of Search, Yahoo!) were interviewed on the alliance and what they think it will bring to consumers in the way of innovating search and the way people search. The new partnership will mean that MicroHoo will have 30% of overall market share in the search space with over 4.8 billion searches per month being conducted on its platform.

The main interest for us at i3Search.Worx though centred around Michael McMeekin and his views on the partnership and what he thinks it will bring to the table.
